Take a deep breath, everyone.
Take the day off. Jump in a pool. Watch fireworks. Play golf. Call your relatives. Watch a baseball game, and definitely grill something outdoors.
And somewhere during the day, remember that when people are in trouble around the world, the one flag they want to see coming over the ridge to help them out is the one that flies outside the houses of people all across this great country.
Celebrate that, and take a break from all the rest of the nonsense today.
Be Americans. Be proud.
