Election Day Hangover

For what may seem like obvious reasons, I'm going to let the column rest today to recover from being up late watching the returns.  There is a lot to say, maybe even something I had not previously said, about last night's victory of the Trump campaign and the retention of Congress.

I'm hoping that Barack Obama fades slowly into the night of his dim presidency, and takes the high road (for once) and doesn't do anything in terms of executive orders and pardons in the last days of his presidency.  He has just been repudiated professionally and needs to take his lumps and just go quietly.  I somehow doubt that will happen.

More when I can get some much-needed sleep.  But what a victory for the deplorables.
